These slipped under the radar.....

I've been a bit lax with blogging lately, I'm still working away at quilts though...
I had a trip to Madeira in February with family, it was a welcome break, then it was back to the grind at the longarm machine...

First up is a Gravity quilt from Charlie and her Mum, the quilt pattern is designed by Julie Herman of Jaybird Quilts, this design is best viewed as a hanging design, it doesn't show well on this bed. I quilted each colour category with a different design, the outside diamonds in the greys with straight line ruler work and swirls in the black. There were obviously lots of colour changes for the thread. All custom freemotion, handguided quilting with ruler work.

This is the second quilt of this design that Freida has made, it was a Block of the Month quilt, the fabrics are totally different to her first one but just as vibrant. Quilted with an edge to edge design called Bubbles for Rhett, it shows wonderfully on the back of the quilt which is great but is hidden among the riot of colour on the front....

Elaine's lovely quilt is much more seasonal in the flesh as it has lovely sparkly and frosted fabrics, Elaine requested something in keeping with the theme of the fabrics which have trees and stars, so I used a snowflake pantograph name Winter Wonderland with a silver grey thread which worked wonderfully.....

I promise I'll be back really sooner with more finished quilts including a lovely blue and cream frame quilt, see you back here very soon....
