A passing remark recently made by a friend made me think of this....
It seems a strange view doesn't it....that's because it's the ceiling/roof we are looking at....
Here's the explanation....
Still don't know why it's on the ceiling?
Our conversation had no direct correlation but it still made me think of this.....
The Scotts make the English very welcome nowadays!?
Update: I am guessing it's on the ceiling to prove the distraction theory?
Is it so no one can destroy it?
ReplyDeleteIt's an interesting piece of history, speaking as one with a Scottish g-g-g-grandmother who "married" an Englishman (no marriage record has ever been found). I also have many generations of English folk -- all of my mum's ancestors as far back as I've been able to go. And to throw some balance into the mix, much of my dad's paternal side of the family was Irish!
I just found your blog via a pinterest link of one of your quilts on another blog.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw the picture, I actually gasped.
Loudly.
People came running.
It was beyond GORGEOUS.
And not incredible quilting just for the sake of the incredible quilting (I'm sure you know what I mean).
Every wonderful motif fit perfectly with the pieced design.
Boy, I really wish you were on this side of the pond.
Although, it might even be worth mailing quilts to you.

NAYY.
(that's how I found the other blog - which I've lost again - I think it was from a Swedish quilter.)
More people need to see your work.
Best regards,
-Michele
