Not quite over the edge of the year but....

Marion paper pieced this random hexagon quilt top years ago from fabrics harvested from some of the dresses she wore in the sixties and seventies. There is lots of history and sentimental memories hidden in each patch. Quilted with Surf. Marion chose the option of having me apply the half binding for her so that she could hand sew the binding to the back of the quilt top while she reminisced on her youth, misspent or otherwise....

Lillian pieced this logcabin quilt with a kit bought from Fabric Focus in Edinburgh, I quilted it with a design named Feather Flourish..

The Law Quilters up at North Berwick pieced this quilt top which will be raffled in 2019, lovely shades of teal, peach, browns and creams combine to make a lovely batik top. I quilted it with crystal Maize in a teal thread....

Irene's lovely Kaffe Fassett quilt is a Garden Trellis design , quilted with Midsummer which has hidden stars, moons, hearts and flowers.

Another lovely logcabin quilt from, traditional in design but and sporting the regular red chimneys but using lovely summery colours, again quilted with Midsummer

Ishbel pieced this lovely modern quilt top using a grey Grunge fabric for the background which really sets of the bright colours, Crystal maize was a perfect match to finish of the top, as usual Ishbel was delighted...

I'll be back again with another post before the end of the year......
